We quickly descended the snow slopes. Kevin actually bounded down the hill, giving him the opportunity to test his ability at performing a "self-arrest" with his ice-ax. This is the technique used to stop yourself while sliding down a snow or ice field.
We found a beautiful stream in the midst of a snowfield, not to far from Milk Lake. We drank plenty of ice-cold water and juice and ate some bagels and cheese. We were back in camp by late afternoon. The sun was warm. Kevin took advantage of this time to work on his tan!
