We reached the ridge and proceeded south, toward the summit. A couple of eagles soared overhead. Travel along the ridge was straightforward until we reached the summit block. It appeared as though we might have reached an impasse. We could not scale the 25-foot cliff ahead. We certainly could not head to the left. This lead to a steep drop off into the valley below. The right did not look too promising either, initially. After a quick look, though, I discovered an obvious climbers trail around to the right.
