We followed a trail, then crossed a snowfield on the eastern shoulder of Mt. Pulitzer, then dropped into the Lone Tree Camp area. This large open area contains a handful of trees and shrubs. Otherwise it is rock and meadow. Beautiful views of Mt. Olympus were had, as well as the stark view of Mt. Pulitzer’s rocky southern face. We crossed the area, then found a place to sit and enjoy the scenery.
