We arrived at American Lake by mid-afternoon. The sky was slowly clearing. We scouted out a campsite then Dan, Kevin and I took a walk around the lake. We were greeted on the far side by a rather outspoken dog who yipped at us for quite a while as we passed his campsite. Unfortunately, this would not be the only time we heard this dog.
