Mt Adams '12, Mt Adams Wilderness, Aug 16, 2012 - Aug 17, 2012 page 46 / 48
The mountain was somewhat bare of snow, a problem with late season climbs. Reaching 9500 feet, we did some glissading down the snow. This was great fun, as long as one maintains a little control. And it speeds up one's descent considerably! Unfortunately, I flew out of one of the snow chutes and hit my tailbone on a mogul. Though it didn't seem to cause any issues on my hike out, I've been a little sore lately.
We reached Lunch Counter around 1:00 PM. We had a bite to eat, rested a bit and repacked our gear for the walk back to the car.
