Van Trump Park,  Mt Rainier National Park,  July 25, 2005     page 7 / 21

A sign was found at the junction to Mildred Point and the Rampart ridge trail. The Rampart ridge trail might make an interesting loop hike someday. We continued up the hill just a little further, reaching another sign marking the end of the maintained trail. From here, there were a series of trails and unmarked junctions. We kept to the right, ascending into the meadows west of Cushman Crest. These meadows were absolutely packed with flowers. The predominant flowers in bloom were lupine, though there were also plenty of paintbrush and a few beargrass.
