Waking early, I hastily threw my gear into a pack for a quick visit of Spray Park. I was on the road by 5:45AM. I arrived at Mowich Lake by 7:45AM. There were perhaps a dozen vehicles parked there. It was apparent I had beat the crowds. The sun was still low and the air cool; my favorite time of day to hike. I reached the lower end of Spray Park by 8:45AM. I passed just one other party along the way.
