Scout Troop 217 headed up to Gold Creek, just east of Snoqualmie Pass, Washington, for our annual snow cave trip. We hiked in on snowshoes about one half mile. Just off the trail there is a good location for building caves and setting up camp. Most of the boys brought small sleds as well as backpacks to haul up "the essentials," which basically means "lots of food!"
