We spent almost an hour at the lake eating lunch and warming ourselves in the sun. We headed out around 1:00 PM. During that time the snow had become much softer and mushier. It was a tough walk down the hill, but enjoyable nonetheless. Next time we'll be sure to take the snowshoes!
