Skyline Trail,  Olympic National Park,  Jul 12, 2005 - Jul 16, 2005     page 51 / 52

A few miles further we passed Trappers Shelter, also still standing. I explained to Tom that my Dad and I had camped there during our retreat from the hills back in '92.

The rest of the hike down the Quinalt was uneventful. We crossed several pleasant creeks, some rather small and others rather large with high bridges across them. The trail was quite rocky, making our feet rather sore. We walked out thirteen miles that day, making it to Hoquiam for a great burger at an authentic drive-in burger place! That first meal out of the woods always tastes so good!
