We stashed our packs in the trees near the Pass, grabbing a day pack and a fanny pack to haul some food and rain gear, as well as map, compass, and cameras. We left the pass around 9:30AM. It would be an 800 foot climb from Cascade Pass to the lower Sahale Arm, a long curved ridge extending from Mt. Sahale.
