The goats found a suitable place to stop. I worked my way east, staying above the goats. It was mid afternoon and I figured I should begin my descent soon, so as not to hike too much in the dark. Of course, I kept turning around to check the view. I realized that the goats were following me. I had had plenty of close encounters with goat in the park before. They didn't scare me. I was cautious, though, having read plenty of recent stories about aggressive goats and the people they had altercations with.
