Libby and I headed into the hills for a short snowshoe trip recently. We parked the car at Narada Falls, which is part way between Longmire and the Paradise Lodge in the Mt. Rainier National Park. Despite three dozen cars in the parking area, we saw only a few others, either on snowshoes, or on cross-country skis. The day was perfect: cool with a light breeze, sunny at times.
We began along the creek upstream from Narada Falls. Within a half mile we were on the closed road above the falls.
