I recently returned to the Buckhorn Wilderness, specifically Marmot Pass. Below are some of the photos I took during this solo, overnight trek.

I began the trail around noon. Having hiked this trail in 2006, I knew just how steep the latter half of the trail gets, so I deliberately set a slow, but steady pace. The first couple of miles through the forest was shaded and comfortable.
