Hoh River,  Olympic National Park,  Aug 24, 2000 - Aug 25, 2000     page 2 / 8

We had the traditional soup before dinner, a delicately prepared package of Lipton's Cream of Tomato. The main course was freeze-dried chicken polynesian.

After dinner, I took the boys for a walk up the trail to explore. We probably walked about a half mile upstream. We came across a huge tree which had probably fallen in a storm just last winter. I didn't count the rings to get it's age, but estimated it to be 250-300 years old. While it was a bit dark for taking pictures, I snapped one off anyway to show it's enormity.
