Oahu '11,  Vacation,  Apr 24, 2011 - May 1, 2011     page 38 / 75

From there we made our way to the west side of the island, to Makaha Beach. We were told that snorkeling was good there. We picked up a some sandwiches and spent a few hours there. We found the snorkeling to be a bit lacking, at least for the afternoon. As is so typical of the islands, the morning is really the best time to swim and snorkel. The afternoon often brings stronger breezes, rougher seas, and deteriorating visibility under water.
