A slight chance of rain was forecast for the following day, so we set up our tents, complete with their rainflies attached. Then, as we often do, we made soup.

More deer wandered through the meadow as we enjoyed the evening. The deer around the lake had seen so many people, that they were quite comfortable with our presence. We explained to Bruce that this was rather unusual behavior. We were delighted nonetheless, and wondered if we'd be lucky enough to spot any other animals during our trek, like goat or bear.
