After arriving at Hidden Springs and having lunch, Tom and I decided to head up the Crest Trail a bit further, before the clouds built themselves up too much. We had heard reports that the weather was to deteriorate, and I was anxious to take a quick look at Shoe Lake, a location Chris and I had tried to hike into several years ago, before sufficient snowmelt had occurred.
