In planning a quick day hike recently, we discovered that Kevin had never been to the summit of Mt. Ellinor. I’ve climbed the peak at least a dozen times, but for one reason or another he had not gone with me. So this year we made the pilgrimage to the top.

Kevin had climbed Mt. Adams about a week before, so he made it clear that Mt. Ellinor was unlikely to top that experience. Libby and I agreed that it was a simpler and less challenging hike, but that it would be fun nonetheless.
