As I continued along the trail I spotted some interesting animal track that I hadn't remembered seeing before in the hills. This print, measuring perhaps four inches across had four toes and distinct claw impressions in the snow. (See below). After a little digging on the internet, I came to the conclusion that this may be the prints of a cougar. After a little more research, I was told this was probably the track of a large dog. So much for tracking game!
