Phantom Ship is another interesting rock formation near the southeastern portion of the lake. It appears, at times, like it has masts like a sailing ship. Depending on the location from which it is viewed, and the lighting conditions, it will sometimes blend in with the rim wall beyond, making it seem to disappear. Yet at other times it can plainly be seen. It is rather small, at least that portion above the water, yet it has seven tree species which grow upon it.
