Crater Lake,  Crater Lake National Park,  Aug 16, 2004 - Aug 19, 2004     page 17 / 36

As we continued around the lake we drove behind Llao Rock. It has a broad, flat top and would make an excellent hike with great views of the lake, sitting at 8040 feet above sea level, or 1860 feet above the lake. However, there is no trail to the top of Llao Rock, since this portion of the park is considered sacred by our Native Americans.
