Cameron Loop,  Olympic National Park,  Sep 11, 2006 - Sep 14, 2006     page 40 / 76

The trail climbed steeply from Lost basin to Cameron Pass, rising from 5400 to 6500 in about a mile. Unlike the wooded climb from Dose Meadows to Lost Pass, this climb was mostly in open meadow. The wind continued blowing at 15 to 20 mph. As long as I kept moving, I was comfortable, but when I stopped for any length of time, I was careful to put on a jacket.
