Wednesday morning came with high clouds. Weather forecasts earlier in the week indicated possible precipitation late Wednesday or Thursday. I hoped for the latter. I had a small breakfast, and hit the trail, which began with a steep climb up to Lost Pass. As I expected, the pass was heavenly. Peaks were seen in all directions, and the hillside was covered in rich fall colors. And, there was not another soul in sight!
