I hit the trail around 11:30AM, Monday morning. This trip was odd compared to most I had done before, because the trail started with a significant descent, rather than a climb. The trailhead began at 5380' and dropped to 2150' at Three Forks! The weather was comfortable, probably around 60 degrees. The sky was mostly clear, providing good views into the park.
