I set up my tarp again, despite no rain in the forecast. The trees here constantly drip with dew, so a tarp is often necessary to keep one's gear dry.

Around 5:00pm, I heard voices. A short time later Ranger Lily and her hiking companions arrived at the camp. They set up their shelter for the evening, and we shared stories of our hikes in and out of the park.

A band of goats visited us for several minutes. We gave them plenty of space, and spoke quietly to them. As a consequence, they were no trouble at all.
