At 7:00am Thursday morning I began the hike out, reaching Whiskey Bend about 9:45am. The solo trip was wonderful, though, I have to admit that I enjoyed my trip with Tom much more. The area was new to us, it contained much more snow (prettier), and it was a shared trip. Those shared memories will never be forgotten.

But the accomplishment of covering 68 miles and gaining over 18,000 feet in eight days was very satisfying.

Once again, I have no plans for any extreme off-trail hikes like this one, but who knows?
