Lake of the Angels,  Olympic National Park,  Jun 26, 2004 - Jun 27, 2004     page 10 / 20

The lake rests within a glacial cirque, surrounded on three sides by ridges, open to the east. The snow fields on the hillsides feed the small lake. This destination was once less popular, being a quiet, undisturbed location. Today, it is used a bit more often. It is a great place for a base camp for climbing Mt. Skokomish to the west or Mt. Stone to the northeast.
