Just short of the two-mile point, an old logging road is crossed. The old trail register stands here, and is still used today. The second, tougher part of the trail begins here. The trail continues through the forest. The grade steepens. Several of the boys continue on ahead without missing a beat, though. The rest of us take it slow and easy!
